Our industrialization department is the interface between our customers’ design office and the production workshop, and is responsible for product industrialization. Its objective is to define all manufacturing processes and optimize production resources to make projects feasible. The Methods Department is involved from the moment a customer order is received to the delivery of finished parts to our customers. This department is in daily contact with production, quality, purchasing and sales.
Methods
Our industrialization department is made up of 5 methods technicians, including one IWT-qualified welder coordinator, plus an industrialization manager. The main tasks of the methodists are to define manufacturing processes in line with customer specifications, and to draw up, modify, update and distribute manufacturing files. They also liaise technically with operators, subcontractors and customers, draw up the supports needed for manufacturing and business control, and liaise with purchasing to anticipate and secure supplies.
Our methods technicians work on:
- Clipper, the ERP used by Concept Metal, to generate manufacturing routings listing the various production stages for each part.
- SolidWorks as 3D CAD software, to analyze the 3Ds sent by our customers, generate drawings and design the tooling required for manufacturing.
- Production Designer (software from the AMADA group, manufacturer of the production machines used for cutting and bending parts) to develop part cutting and bending programs.
- But also on the various Microsoft tools to create different supports for the production of parts.
As the backbone of production, the industrialization department must be as rigorous as possible to ensure that production runs smoothly from order to delivery. They work with the workshop to improve productivity and production quality. They also discuss technical solutions with customers to ensure that the end result meets their expectations.
